The event brought together clients, cultural figures, and industry leaders to celebrate the collaboration through art, hospitality, and Italian craftsmanship
Net-A-Porter and Khaite hosted a private weekend in Florence to celebrate the launch of their exclusive capsule collection, bringing together a group of international guests, clients, and industry figures for a series of events centered on fashion, art, and Italian culture. The gathering was hosted by Net-A-Porter CEO Heather Kaminetsky and Khaite founder and chief creative officer Catherine Holstein at Villa San Michele, a Belmond hotel that recently reopened following an extensive renovation.

The weekend underscored the growing importance of experiential retail and cultural programming within the luxury fashion sector, as brands increasingly look to strengthen client relationships through immersive destination events. Guests attending included Olivia Wilde, Gemma Chan, Meghann Fahy, Alexa Chung, Tom Sturridge, Dree Hemingway, Chloe Fineman, Pernille Teisbaek, Rebecca Dayan, Tish Weinstock, Joséphine de La Baume, Olivia Singer, and Conie Vallese.
Programming began with a private after-hours tour of “Rothko a Firenze” at Palazzo Strozzi, a retrospective co-curated by Christopher Rothko featuring more than 70 works spanning four decades of the artist’s career. The evening concluded with dinner at Cammillo Trattoria, a longstanding Florentine restaurant known for traditional Tuscan cuisine.
The following day centered around Villa San Michele and the surrounding Fiesole Hills, with guests participating in curated activities including a private hike and a bespoke gelato experience in partnership with Vivoli, Florence’s historic gelateria founded in 1930. In the evening, attendees gathered for a dinner staged within the hotel’s Roman Garden overlooking the city. The installation incorporated stainless steel, latex, and evolving light treatments designed to shift throughout the meal, mirroring the changing tones of the Florentine sunset.
The event also served as the official celebration of the exclusive Net-A-Porter and Khaite capsule collection, which features sculpted dresses, fluid separates, and canvas accessories available exclusively through the retailer. Guests wore pieces from the collection throughout the weekend, reinforcing the increasingly integrated relationship between hospitality, product storytelling, and luxury commerce.

“NET-A-PORTER has long admired KHAITE’s ability to define modern luxury in a way that feels both timeless and deeply relevant, truly representing what makes todays woman look and feel amazing,” said Heather Kaminetsky, CEO of Net-A-Porter. “Celebrating this launch in Florence — a city synonymous with craftsmanship, beauty, and culture — felt like a natural fit.”
The partnership reflects a broader industry emphasis on exclusivity and experiential engagement as multi-brand retailers continue to differentiate themselves through limited-edition collaborations and high-touch client programming.
