In times of conflict, it can seem a little absurd to report on something as frivolous as fashion – as we reflected on at the end of Paris fashion week. But in such times a little escapism is needed for when the 24/7 news cycle becomes all too consuming, and that is what the streets provided, utilising colour as a medium of optimistic defiance. Hues of yellow, orange, pink, and red dominated, with Bottega Veneta and highlighter green standing out across all four cities, being worn head-to-toe in monochromatic statements.
