Review of Ports 1961 Fall 2026 Ad Campaign by Creative Director of Agency X with Photographer Rankin with model Nadja Auermann
Ports 1961’s Fall 2026 campaign makes a concise argument for presence. Under the design direction of Francesco Bertolini, with Nadja Auermann photographed by Rankin and hair by Max Roman, the campaign positions sophistication as command: measured, cinematic, and unwilling to over-explain itself. In a season where much of fashion continues to chase immediacy, Ports 1961 turns to a woman whose authority comes from self-possession.
Auermann is the campaign’s great asset. Her image carries fashion memory, but the campaign wisely avoids treating her as a nostalgic device. Instead, she becomes a figure of control, someone who understands the camera and withholds from it just enough. Rankin’s black-and-white treatment sharpens that feeling, moving through a vintage car, a shadowed bedroom, and the reflective intimacy of a mirror with a mood that nods to noir while staying clean, modern, and composed.
The clothes work because they understand the woman wearing them. A long coat beside the car, a sculptural white top against a darkened room, and grey tailoring caught in the mirror all suggest clothing as a form of composure. The strongest image may be the mirror portrait, where Auermann adjusts the jacket while studying her reflection. It turns tailoring into psychology, capturing the private moment when elegance is assembled before it steps back into the world.
The campaign’s familiar codes of cinematic sophistication, the car, the bedroom, the mirror, are executed with confidence, though they also set an expectation for sharper house specificity going forward. Still, Ports 1961 succeeds in giving Bertolini’s vision a clear emotional register: grown-up glamour with bite, femininity with discipline, and clothes that carry the quiet force of a woman who has nothing to prove. The house may still be defining the full contours of this world, but Auermann already knows the route.
