Summer 2024 Ad Campaign

Review of Prada Summer 2024 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Ferdinando Verderi and Photographer Mark Kean with models Ayo Hassan, Finlay Robinson, Ilya Vermeulen, Penelope Ternes, and Pierrick Grégoire

Prada immerses itself in art with its new Summer 2024 campaign that combines photography by Mark Kean with painterly perspective. The campaign features creative direction from Ferdinando Verderi.

Through a clever collage-like synthesis of digital painting and photography, Kean’s photographic portraits of eclectic characters wearing Prada’s delicate and floral summer collection are situated in expressionist still-life compositions. They occupy a world of canvas and oil paint where tables are covered with lace and adorned with vases of flowers. Though they exist in different media, these fashion designs feel right at home in this artful world.

It’s a softer and more twee approach than we usually see from Prada, yet it still feels like a natural extension of the brand’s intellectual artistry. Blurring the lines between painting, photography, and life, Prada invites us to meet this summer with an artist’s eye.
