“It’s a new beginning…this is how we roll…” – Chris Leba
Epitomizing life on lockdown, Pre-Fall ‘21 offers a fresh take on the at-home uniform. The collection, while grounded in a sense of comfort fit for the times, finds strength and confidence amidst a unique new reality. For R13’s Girl Gang, a community of women who continue to navigate their surroundings with unapologetic fervor, this collection strikes a balance between functional outfitting and the rebellious attitude of those who continue to dream.
The collection reimagines the confines of a leisurely, homebound wardrobe with elevated interpretations of familiar groups – lingerie, knitwear, and denim as core tenets of the brand’s DNA. Bralette and brief sets are juxtaposed with relaxed, yet luxe, camel mohair fleece knits while signature denim silhouettes are treated with novel khaki and leopard updates. Flannel reemerges as a grunge signifier in a bleached-out dress and multipieced flannel, bringing craft and playfulness to a classic. A Stencil group features across loungewear and outerwear, injecting a newfound naivety and innocence to the ever-cool R13 girl.
