From Copenhagen to New York: Samsøe Samsøe takes its cool Scandi simplicity to the big apple with its new Fall 2024 campaign. The imagery was lensed by photographer Philipp Paulus.
Paulus follows his subjects down the busy streets of Manhattan, where stylist Heathermary Jackson’s looks help them to both blend in and stand out of the crowd. In several images, the characters carry a white balloon with the brand’s logo, like a minimal reinterpretation of a familiar symbol of childhood wonder and play.
The New York street style approach is something we’ve seen countless times before, but the unique prop of the balloon coupled with Paulus’ thoughtful angles and perspective do just enough to keep us tuned in and have us take the time to explore the collection’s quiet details and subtly expressive character.
