A stylist and image maker who was one of the first industry leaders to embrace the democratizing power of social media, Formichetti has served as artistic director at Mugler and Diesel, but is undoubtedly best known for his work as fashion director for Lady Gaga, for whom he styled the infamous meat dress and many music videos and live performances.

Syky was launched in January 2023 by Alice Delahunt, who had formerly worked as Chief Digital & Content Officer at Ralph Lauren and Social Media Director at Burberry. Harnessing NFT technology, the platform serves as a community space for digital fashion collectors, as well as providing a platform and resources for designers. While Syky’s inaugural group of twelve creators for its incubator program – referred to as “the Collective” – were limited to designers of digital garments, the company aims to bridge physical and digital fashion in the near future.

Moving forward, Formichetti will have a leadership role in both the NFT collectible fashion side and the incubator side of the business, and will team with Delahunt to guide the brand’s phygital aspirations forward.
