Ulla Johnson Opens Fourth Store On Madison Avenue

Ulla Johnson Appoints Former Burberry Executive Laura Pei as CFO

The move marks a new chapter of strategic growth for the New York–based brand.

Ulla Johnson has appointed Laura Pei as its first-ever chief financial officer, signaling a pivotal step in the brand’s continued expansion.

Pei joins the New York–based label following her tenure as CFO of Burberry Americas, where she served for two and a half years. Her résumé spans leadership roles at Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, The Row, and Supergoop, bringing a blend of global luxury expertise and agile financial acumen to the independent house.

At Ulla Johnson, Pei reunites with chief executive officer Thibaut Perrin-Faivre, who previously served as president and CEO of Burberry Americas. Their renewed partnership underscores the brand’s focus on scaling operations while preserving its artistic integrity.

“Laura’s breadth of global experience and strategic vision make her an extraordinary partner for this next chapter in our company’s growth,” said Ulla Johnson, founder and creative director.

For Pei, the move represents both a professional homecoming and an alignment of shared values. “It’s a magic combination,” she said, emphasizing her excitement to return to a U.S.-based brand with strong creative leadership.

The appointment arrives as Ulla Johnson accelerates its retail expansion following the opening of its Madison Avenue flagship in September, joining existing boutiques in downtown Manhattan, Amagansett, and West Hollywood. With Pei onboard, the brand strengthens its foundation for future global growth while maintaining the thoughtful craftsmanship and feminine refinement that define its identity.
