The Chinese Actor is Captured in Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Spring 2024 Collection
Valentino has announced Chinese actor Yang Zi as its latest brand ambassador. The star debuted as the face of the brand’s Spring 2024 campaign.
Speaking to the appointment, creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli said, “I am happy to share my idea of beauty with the genuine talent of Yang Zi. Her personal interpretation of Maison Valentino’s romantic codes is a trove of empathy and curiosity.”
One of the most popular film and television stars in China – which continues to be a rapidly growing luxury market – Yang Zi’s acting career spans more than two decades with many film and television credits, including hits Ode to Joy, Go Go Squid! and The Oath of Love.
Speaking to her new role, Yang said, “I find resonance with Valentino’s spirit of creativity and innovation. For me, the exploration of fashion and acting both spark creativity and imagination. Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s avant-garde approach to fashion is genuinely impressive.
