The January 2027 presentation will mark the return of Atelier Versace to the couture runway and provide an early indication of the house’s creative direction under its new leadership
Versace will return to the Paris couture calendar in January 2027 with a collection by creative officer Pieter Mulier, marking his first runway presentation for Atelier Versace. The show is scheduled during Paris Couture Week, which runs from January 25 to 28, with the date and venue to be announced.

The presentation will mark the first dedicated Atelier Versace runway show since July 2016. Although the house has continued its couture business through private commissions and red-carpet dressing, a formal runway return signals a renewed focus on the atelier as part of Versace’s broader creative and commercial positioning.
Mulier officially joined Versace on July 1 and has already introduced his approach to the house’s couture codes through a custom design worn by Nicole Kidman at the Los Angeles premiere of “Practical Magic 2” on August 31. The asymmetric black lace gown offered an initial indication of how the designer may interpret Versace’s established relationship with glamour, craftsmanship and eveningwear.
The couture debut will also serve as one of the first significant public milestones for Versace since its acquisition by Prada Group in 2025. Prada Group chairman and executive director Patrizio Bertelli previously emphasized the companies’ shared commitment to creativity, craftsmanship and heritage, with the stated objective of continuing Versace’s legacy while reinterpreting its distinctive aesthetic.
The transition is also beginning to take shape at the product level. Prada Group chief executive Andrea Guerra recently indicated that the integration was progressing and that the group had begun reviewing the direction of upcoming collections, with the team moving beyond initial creative discussions and into product development.
For Mulier, the Atelier Versace presentation will provide an opportunity to establish his interpretation of the house’s couture identity within the context of its new ownership. The return places Versace back on the Paris couture runway while making craftsmanship and the atelier an important part of the brand’s next chapter.
