Review of Gucci ‘Pineapple’ Resort 2022 Ad Campaign by Creative Directors Charles Levai & Kevin Tekinel of Agency Maybe and Photographer Tyler Mitchell
Gucci serves up a sweet taste of summer with the campaign for its new Gucci Pineapple capsule. The bright and fresh campaign features art direction from Charles Levai and Kevin Tekinel and photography by Tyler Mitchell.
Captured against a retro-elegant hotel in Palm Beach, Mitchell’s photos draw out the pastel playfulness of the collection. The setting’s banana-leaf carpets and soft yellows, greens, and pinks provide a harmonious backdrop for the collection’s infusion of lighthearted Gucci elegance with summery tropical flavor.
The accompanying short film provides a breezy lounge jazz tune to further set our senses awash in the dreamy and vintage-tinged summertime fantasy.
Bright, simple, and sweet, the campaign is another strong entry into the ever-expanding dreamworld of Gucci and comes at just the right time as we look forward to the arrival of summer.
