Gucci Cosmos: An Exhibition of Iconic Designs from 102-Year History

Italian luxury fashion brand Gucci is set to showcase its most iconic designs from its 102-year history in a cutting-edge exhibition called “Gucci Cosmos” in Shanghai in April 2023. The exhibition will take visitors on a playful and immersive journey through Gucci’s past, present, and future, showcasing how the House’s enduring creativity and Florentine roots have inspired and been reinterpreted by its design visionaries over the years. Curated by Italian fashion theorist and critic Maria Luisa Frisa and designed by British contemporary artist Es Devlin, the exhibition is experienced across eight exhibition “worlds” that draw together treasures from the Gucci Archive. Devlin has fused innovative audio, visual and kinetic technology within Gucci Cosmos to create a luminous installation resembling a series of cogs and wheels, evoking the city’s long history of commercial and cultural exchange between Europe and Asia.
