It may be called “Men’s” fashion week, but the Spring 2025 season saw designers embrace the need to nourish the boy within us all. From whimsical textures and oversized looks to direct references to childlike play, the runways of Milan and Paris abounded with carefree creativity that sought to nurture our inner child.
Charles Jeffrey Loverboy played dress up with knitwear that transformed it wearers into life-sized toy soldiers. JW Anderson developed a dreamworld of surreal and ballooning colors and textures. Walter Van Beirendonck drew from the playful and bizarre world of clowns to create a bizarre yet beautiful look at multifaceted masculinity. The first collection since the passing of his father at the last year, Craig Green delivered a beautiful and heartfelt collection that explored the tension of the dual expectations between fathers and sons.
