Paul Andrew Is Sergio Rossi’s New Creative Director

Sergio Rossi appoints Paul Andrew as Creative Director

Sergio Rossi has confirmed the appointment of renowned designer Paul Andrew as its new creative director, effective July 23, 2024. Andrew, an experienced shoe designer with over twenty years in the industry and his own brand, previously worked for top fashion houses before joining Sergio Rossi.

After graduating from Berkshire College of Art and Design, Andrew worked at Alexander McQueen and Narciso Rodriguez before launching his own label in 2013. He is well-known in the United States, where he has received awards and collaborated with brands like Donna Karan, Michael Kors, and Ralph Lauren. Andrew joined Salvatore Ferragamo in 2016, eventually becoming its creative director before leaving in May 2021.

“Paul Andrew is admired the world over for his innovative shoe design and technical mastery. He brings a deep respect for the heritage of our brand,” said Helen Wright, who has been leading Sergio Rossi since 2023.

Previously, Sergio Rossi’s collections were designed by an in-house team, while Greek influencer Evangelie Smyrniotaki served as the artistic director for two years. This appointment follows the departure of Riccardo Sciutto in 2023, who led the brand to success after it was acquired by the Lanvin Group in 2021. The label reported a 4% decrease in sales for 2023 but saw an improvement in gross margin to 51%.
