Denim is never out, but for the Spring 2025 season from Copenhagen, denim is particularly in. The timeless and versatile fabric threaded its indigo way across the runways of the Danish capital, bringing functionality and flexible style to the latest offerings of Scandinavian fashion.
We saw plenty of riffs on the classic blue jean, from subtle tweaks in structural details to far-out experimentations in fabrication. Head-to-toe denim looks were a frequent site (a new evolution of the Canadian tuxedo – the Scandinavian tuxedo?), but we also saw some interesting combinations as classic denim was unexpectedly paired with distinct fabrics and craft embellishments, upholding Copenhagen’s reputation for progressivism and thoughtful yet free-spirited eclecticism.
