Gucci Announces Second Edition of Scholarship Program with London College of Fashion

The Scholarship Supports Three Students from the London College of Fashion

Gucci has selected three students from the University of the Arts London’s London College of Fashion to receive an academic scholarship as part of its Gucci Changemakers London program.

The initiative aims to support students facing financial difficulties in accessing higher education. The recipients this year include Malak Bedidi, Micah Eghafona, and Elena Mai Kilminster-Davis, pursuing degrees in fashion styling and production, creative direction for fashion, and fashion marketing and content creation, respectively.

The students were all previously enrolled in the university’s Insights program, which assists underprivileged young people in entering the arts. They were chosen by the deans from London College of Fashion and Kenya Hunt, a Gucci Changemakers London business ambassador and editor in chief of Elle U.K.

“It’s an honor to serve as a London Business Ambassador for Gucci Changemakers and join London College of Fashion, UAL in selecting a second cohort of scholarship recipients. They are truly remarkable and inspiring young talents,” said Hunt.

In addition to the scholarships, Gucci is supporting three nonprofit organizations by granting 150,000 euros. The luxury brand has been focusing on its sustainability efforts, as highlighted in the 2023 Gucci Equilibrium Impact Report. The report detailed various sustainability initiatives, including volunteering programs and scholarship opportunities for employees.
