Top 10 Shows of Milan Fashion Week Fall 2025

Kenneth Richard's Top Picks

Season Highlights on Kenneth’s List Include Diesel, Versace, And A Newcomer On The Rise

Milan Fashion Week’s Fall 2025 season came and went with a few holes in the schedule, but still turned out 56 runway shows and 70 presentations that kept everyone buzzing. Bottega Veneta took a break, awaiting new designer Louise Trotter, who’s set to debut next season. While Tom Ford shifted its show to Paris for Haider Ackermann’s first outing. Despite these moves, Milan managed to provide an abundance of highlights.

Gucci opened the week with its in-house design team stepping in after Sabato De Sarno’s exit. The brand is promising an announcement soon regarding its next creative director, hopefully bringing in a heavyweight this time. Meanwhile, newcomer Institution by Galib Gassanoff—previously part of Act No1—made a bold statement at Museo Bagatti Valsecchi. Styled by Emil Rebek, the collection earned a spot on Kenneth’s Top 10, an impressive feat for a debut.

Versace secured a position among Kenneth’s picks for the first time, courtesy of Donatella’s energetic show, which leaned firmly on the house’s DNA. At the same time, the label is being shopped around for a buyer, adding to the industry’s sense of flux.

Diesel finished in second place under Glenn Martens, who will soon head to Maison Margiela. His show featured a Guinness World Record-setting inflatable and over three kilometers of graffiti-laden fabric, underscoring Martens’ ability to disrupt everyday archetypes.

Maximilian Davis, leading Ferragamo, unveiled a fresh evolution for the brand with a runway scattered with petals and gentle references to Ferragamo’s heritage. He continues to elevate the house with each season.

Prada took the top spot, with Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons continuing to challenge the notion of feminine perfection, showing they’re unafraid to push boundaries when it comes to rethinking modern femininity.
