Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2025 campaign is an ode to stripped-back complexity—a visual study in softness with edge, where portraiture, fabric, and attitude do the heavy lifting. Photographed by Lengua and styled by Lotta Volkova, the campaign unfolds entirely against moiré silk walls, the same set design as the runway show. There are no props, no elaborate mise en scène—just a quiet stage for silhouettes and expressions to speak. The result is crisp, still, and hyper-considered. In one striking image, a model turns sharply into the corner, echoing the geometry and psychological charge of Irving Penn’s 1940s society portraits. It’s minimalism, yes, but with mood.
That tension—between formality and friction, control and personality—is what defines this cast. Among them: Towa Bird, Lou Doillon, Rila Fukushima, Myha’la Herrold, Yura Romaniuk, and Cortisa Star. And, in a notable addition, Kylie Jenner. Her presence doesn’t feel like a stunt; if Miu Miu were trying to grab Gen Z headlines, she would have arrived seasons ago. Instead, her appearance feels purposeful. She brings a different kind of visibility—calculated, elusive, and steeped in personal reinvention—that fits this world. In Volkova’s hands, even Kylie feels understated.
Miu Miu doesn’t follow fashion’s rules so much as it rephrases them. This campaign doesn’t shout—it lingers. And like the best portraits, it draws you in not with excess, but with intent.
The collection itself leans toward delicacy: bias cuts, pointelle knits, ladylike tailoring. But Volkova’s styling adds friction, never allowing things to become too pristine. Every look seems to hover in that offbeat Miu Miu register—girlish but grounded, restrained but quietly subversive. The campaign film adds only a slight surreal lag to movement, creating an almost ghostlike rhythm that deepens the editorial mood without overwhelming it.
