Zimmermann’s Mediterranean Moment Continues in Nice
Australian luxury brand Zimmermann has unveiled its first store in Nice, continuing its Mediterranean expansion following recent openings in Mykonos and Ibiza.
Located on the newly restored Park Avenue, a prominent retail strip overlooking the Jardin de l’Arménie, the boutique was designed in collaboration with long-time partner Studio McQualter. The façade features tall windows shaded by crisp white awnings, creating a clean and coastal impression.
“Nice is such a vibrant destination, and it’s exciting to open the boutique in the height of summer,” said Nicky Zimmermann, co-founder and creative director. “We wanted the space to reflect both the raw and the refined—an elegant, relaxed spirit that suits the city perfectly.”
Inside, the space balances artful eclecticism with minimalist architecture. A giant tapestry by Australian artist Georgia Bisley welcomes visitors, juxtaposed with a raw concrete wall and a rare Dutch 1940s tiered wall light. Custom striped terrazzo flooring leads into the fitting rooms, where striped fabric walls and soft carpet elevate the space.
The ground floor showcases Zimmermann’s Fall/Winter 2025 ready-to-wear collection alongside accessories. A spiral metal staircase leads to a mezzanine-level lounge, designed for private styling appointments.
With a growing presence in Europe and regular shows in Paris, Zimmermann continues to blend fashion with travel culture, transforming its boutiques into destinations of their own.
