The Florence Showcase Marks CPHFW’s 20Th Anniversary And Highlights Nordic Design On An International Stage

Pitti Uomo and Copenhagen Fashion Week will present Copenhagen-based label Sunflower as a special project at Pitti Immagine Uomo 110, marking a key moment within CPHFW’s 20-year anniversary program. The brand is set to stage a runway event in Florence from June 16 to 19, 2026, introducing its evolving vision to a broader international audience.
The collaboration underscores both Copenhagen Fashion Week’s emphasis on global partnerships and Pitti Immagine’s longstanding engagement with Nordic design. Positioned as the CPHFW Special Project, the presentation reflects a shared commitment to advancing menswear through dialogue between regional perspectives and global markets.
“Marking our 20th anniversary, this collaboration with Pitti Immagine reflects the importance of strong, international partnerships in elevating menswear fashion to a global stage. Pitti has long been a supporter of Nordic fashion, and we are proud to bring Sunflower to Florence as our guest designer – a brand that embodies both the creative and commercial strength of our region. The 110th Edition will stand as testament to the power of collaboration and we cannot wait to see what Sunflower has planned,” said Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week.

For Sunflower, the Florence presentation signals a moment of evolution. “For us, this moment marks the introduction of the next chapter for Sunflower. The foundation is the same, but the expression is sharper, more defined, and more ambitious. We’ve always believed in keeping things simple and doing the same thing better over time – a bit like a good rock song. Direct, clear, and without anything unnecessary. Showing in Florence gives us the right setting to present that next step clearly,” said Ulrik Pedersen, Founder of Sunflower.
Antonio Cristaudo, Chief Commercial And Development Officer of Pitti Immagine, emphasized the cultural and strategic alignment between the two cities and their fashion ecosystems. “Florence and Copenhagen are cities united by a special bond,” he said, “by a vision of fashion that looks toward research and innovation, yet remains firmly grounded in product and market awareness. We are delighted to host a special event in collaboration with Copenhagen Fashion Week to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Taking part in CPHFW has become an essential appointment for us: the Scandinavian scene is capable of constant renewal, and for this reason we have long offered it a stage at the Fortezza da Basso during Pitti Uomo. We follow Sunflower’s journey with great attention, for its clear stylistic identity and for the consistency of its product, which, through fresh and intelligent design, resonates with trend-driven international buyers. And it continues to surprise us with each new collection.”
