The Collection Will Mark Matthieu Blazy’s Second Cruise Outing For The House And Return Chanel To A Foundational Location In Its History
Chanel will present its Cruise 2027/28 collection in Deauville on Tuesday, April 27, 2027, marking the next destination show for the house following its Cruise presentation in Biarritz.
The collection will be designed by Matthieu Blazy and will mark his second Cruise collection for Chanel. The choice of Deauville places the show in one of the most significant locations in the house’s history, connecting the new chapter under Blazy with the origins of Gabrielle Chanel’s fashion vocabulary.
“It was in Deauville that Gabrielle Chanel introduced her first fashion pieces, marking a turning point in the history of the House. We look forward to discovering Matthieu Blazy’s perspective on this foundational place through his second Cruise collection,” said Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Chanel Fashion Activities.
Gabrielle Chanel opened a boutique in Deauville in 1912 after her early success as a milliner in Paris. The following year, she began selling her first fashion pieces there, helping establish the foundations of what would become the Chanel style.
The Deauville presentation continues Chanel’s use of historically resonant destinations for its Cruise collections, while placing Blazy’s developing vision for the house within one of its earliest creative landscapes.
