The July event will coincide with the opening of an exhibition exploring the house’s relationship with Karl Lagerfeld

Fendi has announced that its Fall/Winter 2026–2027 Couture show, the first couture collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri for the Roman house, will take place on July 9 at Rome’s Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea.
The presentation marks a significant moment for Fendi as Chiuri unveils her first couture offering for the brand. Staged within one of Rome’s leading cultural institutions, the event underscores the house’s longstanding connection to its hometown while placing fashion in conversation with art and heritage.
Ahead of the runway show, guests will be invited to a private viewing of “After Un Percorso di Lavoro. Fendi / Karl Lagerfeld 1985. After Steps Through Work.” The exhibition explores the creative relationship between Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld, whose decades-long collaboration helped shape the identity of the house and left a lasting impact on contemporary luxury fashion.
Following the private preview, the exhibition will open to the public from July 10 through October 25, 2026. By pairing Chiuri’s couture debut with an exhibition centered on Lagerfeld’s legacy, Fendi creates a dialogue between past and present, celebrating both the foundations of the house and its evolving creative direction.
The announcement further strengthens Rome’s position as a destination for couture and cultural programming while reaffirming Fendi’s commitment to the city that has remained at the heart of its story for a century.
