Anya Hindmarch x Dye Lab Store Arriving at The Village

‘Some of the most exciting fashion at the moment is coming out of West Africa and I was lucky enough to discover Rukky Ladoja and Ozzy Etomi and their incredible brand Dye Lab. I am very excited to announce that for the first time at the Village we are collaborating with Dye Lab on a range of kaftan dresses, hand dyed and hand made in Lagos’-Anya Hindmarch

Inspired by Nigeria’s rich artisan heritage, Dye Lab works with skilled local artisans and locally-
sourced materials, fusing traditional techniques with their contemporary vision. Every element of the vividly coloured line up are locally produced – fabrics, dying, stitching, panelling.

The label’s signature silhouette is a modern take on the Agbada, a traditional Nigerian garment,
updated in whimsical, colourful prints made with hand dyed textiles using Adire wax resist dyeing,
a technique unique to the Yoruba people. Every design includes details in Aso-Oke and Baule Kita, specialty Nigerian and Ivorian hand-woven cloths. Each piece is hand designed, hand dyed and handmade while aiming to promote and employ sustainable practices and minimise waste.
