The ten-scent range expands the house’s fragrance portfolio through a broader interpretation of Italian identity and cross-cultural ingredient pairings
Bottega Veneta has introduced Alta, a new fragrance collection comprising ten eaux de parfum that marks the latest chapter in the house’s olfactory development. Available through Bottega Veneta boutiques and select department stores worldwide, the collection expands beyond the Venetian focus of the brand’s inaugural fragrance offering to explore a broader vision of Italy in dialogue with global influences.
Central to the collection is the concept of the “Intrecciato duo,” a fragrance structure that pairs an ingredient associated with Italy with another sourced from elsewhere in the world. Through these combinations, the collection explores contrasts between freshness and depth, balancing citrus, aromatic, and herbal notes with woods, resins, and warmer accords. The approach reflects the house’s broader emphasis on craftsmanship and exchange, translating its signature weaving philosophy into scent composition.

The ten fragrances each interpret this concept differently. Always Now combines Italian basil accord with Madagascan vetiver Bourbon essence, while Montebello pairs blood orange with North African neroli. Balliamo brings together Italian white fig and American cedarwood, and Bare Morning contrasts Italian talco accord with sandalwood from Oceania. Other fragrances include Slow Rise, built around rose and French clary sage; Ricordami, which combines a stracciatella-inspired accord with oakwood; and Crepuscolo, which juxtaposes Fior di Sale with South Asian oud. Across the collection, familiar Italian references are reimagined through unexpected material combinations and international sourcing.
The Alta launch also extends Bottega Veneta’s design language into packaging. The refillable bottles reinterpret the house’s signature Intrecciato leather weave through sculptural glass construction, while wooden caps and gold-finished detailing reference Venetian architecture and artisanal craftsmanship. The collection is available in both 50ml and 100ml formats and is produced using recycled glass.
Accompanied by a range of woven leather fragrance accessories, Alta represents Bottega Veneta’s largest fragrance launch to date. The collection arrives as luxury houses continue to expand fragrance as both a category for brand expression and a means of reaching broader global audiences, reinforcing the growing strategic importance of beauty and scent within the luxury sector.
