Spring breezes are already blowing through Copenhagen, and the city’s designers are harnessing them with flou, flow, and fluidity. The Spring 2025 runways of the Scandinavian fashion capital were aflutter with ethereal fabrics in layered constructions.
Comfort and practicality are big in Nordic design, and there’s nothing like some extra volume and softness to give the body the space it needs to move. But the best of these looks were as beautiful as they were practical, radiating delicateness and dynamism as they floated down the runway.
This kind of flowy delicacy can often feel classically feminine, and many designers balanced that spirit with a contemporary sophistication. But we also saw the city’s reputation for progressivism as many collections moved past gender binaries, breezing into new territories of expansive fashion expression.
