Silvia Venturini Fendi continues to steer creative direction as the brand ushers in a new leadership era
Fendi will continue its 100th anniversary festivities with another coed runway show this September, skipping Milan Fashion Week’s traditional menswear slot in June to present both men’s and women’s collections together in the fall. Silvia Venturini Fendi, the house’s artistic director of accessories and menswear, will once again lead the design, following the success of February’s opulent centennial show. While the exact date and location remain unannounced, the event is expected to align with Milan Fashion Week, running September 23–29.
The upcoming show will also inaugurate Fendi’s new palazzo flagship on Via Montenapoleone, a multi-level space that will include four retail floors and a new Langosteria restaurant, plus a panoramic terrace overlooking Milan. The palazzo marks a significant addition to Fendi’s presence in the city, following the recent reopening of its renovated Spazio Fendi runway theater and showroom on Via Solari.
Venturini Fendi, granddaughter of founder Adele Fendi and the creative mind behind the iconic Baguette bag, is set to remain at the creative helm amid ongoing speculation about a successor to Kim Jones, who stepped down as artistic director of women’s collections last October. Several industry names have been floated, but no successor has been confirmed. By the time of the September show, Fendi will also welcome Ramon Ros as its new CEO. Ros joins from Louis Vuitton, mainland China, and succeeds Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, who has moved to Christian Dior Couture.
Fendi’s choice to stick with the coed format highlights both its heritage and adaptability, setting the tone for the next chapter in its centennial year and reflecting a broader trend toward inclusive, unified runway presentations in luxury fashion.
