unveils Virgil Abloh's second Men's Collection at a special Pop-Up

In celebration of the Men’s Fall-Winter 2019 collection, Virgil Abloh, Creative Director of Men’s Louis Vuitton, has installed a pop-up in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. As a temporary space, or residency, the pop-up exists to showcase Abloh’s second collection. The collection features ready-to-wear and accessory pieces including ‘Millionaires’ sunglasses, a chain belt, monogram printed leather caps, and the Louis Vuitton trainer sneaker.

The concept and space of the pop-up is orange. Orange everything. The exterior of the warehouse is painted neon orange with the Louis Vuitton logo printed throughout. The interior features a spiral staircase, benches, phone booths, and statues. Everything is orange, of course. Luis Vuitton states that “these unique pieces, all in orange, disrupt the store’s monochromatic palette, bringing a jolt of urban energy to the overall Collection.”

Virgil Abloh shares that the pop-up is related to ‘Figures of Speech,’ his solo exhibition at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary art. We are witnessing the intersection of art and fashion. The pop-up is available now until July 7, 2019.
