Parachute Pants

If the 80’s and the Spring 2020 Menswear runway shows have anything in common, it would be parachute pants. While the pants in the 80’s were typically in Nylon, the Spring 2020 styles come in all sorts of materials, lengths, and cuts. Parachute pants can be tight fitting or baggy, may have an excess of pockets or zippers, and may have elastic at the waist and cuffs. Craig Green, Givenchy, Off-White, Rick Owens, Dries Van Noten, and Louis Vuitton embraced the concept in their collections. History definitely loves to repeat itself.
