SAINT LAURENT parts ways with creative director HEDI SLIMANE‘s as we take a look at his final campaigns for the house and the end of an era BY MARY NEALON
With today’s announcement by parent company Kering that designer Hedi Slimane is departing at the house as of today, we wish to take a look at the final season of campaigns from the photographer/creative dirtector/designer.
Cara Delevingne stepped out of her modeling hiatus to star in Saint Laurent’s “Le Collection de Paris”. On March 17th, Hedi Slimane directed and photographed the campaign for the French house in New York, creating four stunning images that were released on Twitter on Wednesday. Delevingne, who has an established relationship with the brand, brings her signature fierce gaze and timeless beauty to the four black and white shots. The beauty of the images paired with the brand’s Twitter release leave quite the impression- but we expect nothing less from Saint Laurent.
Over the past three days, Saint Laurent has also released their Hollywood Palladium Campaign, images starring Jane Birkin, and Le Collection de Paris Part II featuring Veronika and Celine-all shot by Hedi Slimane. The consistency in the imagery shows the strength of Hedi Slimane as not only a designer but also as a creative director and one we are looking forward to seeing more of in his next venture.
