Fall 2019 Ad Campaign with Finn Wolfhard

Things at Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent are far from strange, but that doesn’t mean the creative doesn’t embrace Stranger Things. Just ahead of the premiere of the runway Netflix sensation’s third season on July 4th, the designer has enlisted Finn Wolfhard, aka Mike Wheeler, as the latest face of their menswear collection.

Wolfhard falls on the heels of fellow Saint Laurent spokesperson, Keanu Reeves, and is captured by in the house’s signature monochromatic look by David Sims while getting his best Bob Dylan on. Coming in at the cool age of sixteen, compared to Reeves’ fifty-four, the actor ages-up well, given the stying which is a long way from his characters high buttoned striped 80s polo looks.

The campaign speaks to the houses focus on ‘coolness’ over q-scores and awareness validating a trust in the instincts of Vaccarello and trust in the path marked by the labels DNA. Which sadly today is a strange thing.
