Saint Laurent explores intimacy and outwardness with its gorgeous new Fall 2024 campaign by photographer and director Gray Sorrenti.

Particularly for the women’s looks, the Fall 2024 collection sees creative director Anthony Vaccarello explore the idea of making what is typically concealed and interior visible on the exterior. Lacy details and ribbed knits are drawn from lingerie and underwear, while nylon garments echo hosiery and offer a glimpse at the garments and skin beneath.

The campaign picks up on this tension of interior and exterior through an architectural exploration of domesticity and private space. The characters occupy a stunning mid-century modern home, where Sorrenti captures them bathed in the golden light that pours in through the windows. They are always alone, and wearing clothes that are of course completely at odds with being home alone, yet the angular and intimate photographic perspective suggests the awareness of an exterior presence.

Set to the song “If You Must Leave” by Arsun (Gray Sorrenti’s brother, another child of the famous Mario), the accompanying short film soaks in the details of these elevated domestic scenes, finding understated beauty in the way a character smooths back their hair or peers through the blinds to the outside world.

The imagery thoughtfully extends the concept of interior and exterior tension embodied in the material elements of the collection itself into a sensual and elegant visual world – not to mention how the presence of Bella Hadid and especially Rosé will give this campaign a huge boost and put that world of elegant sensualism before the eyes of many. Balancing a thrilling and dangerous sense of subtle voyeurism with classic refinement, the campaign is another excellent outing for Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent.
