Saks Fifth Avenue Opens Overhauled Beverly Hills Store

The Expansive, Experience-Driven Flagship Occupies a Former Barneys Location

Saks Fifth Avenue has completed the relocation of its women’s store in Beverly Hills, moving just 130 feet down the street into the former Barneys New York location. The move comes after Barneys filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy five years ago, leaving behind a prime retail space that caught the attention of Saks executives.

The new women’s store, opening on Thursday at 9570 Wilshire Boulevard, boasts a modernized luxury environment spanning 130,000 square feet across five floors. The flagship is conceived of an experience-driven hub for modern luxury, as exemplified by the Fifth Avenue Club on the fifth floor that offers 15 private styling suites and a team of Saks stylists dedicated to providing personalized service to shoppers.

The department store focuses on designer ready-to-wear, shoes, and jewelry, with a significant portion of the fifth floor also dedicated to a large Chanel shop-in-shop concept. Additionally, visitors can enjoy an outdoor terrace with lush greenery and views of the Hollywood Hills.

The shopping experience begins on the main floor with an expansive shoe department and extends to the second floor featuring fine and high-end jewelry, including limited edition pieces. The third and fourth floors showcase luxury designer collections and contemporary brands, respectively, while beauty and fragrances are housed on the lower floor.

Saks Fifth Avenue’s relocation represents a $52 million investment, aimed at revitalizing the flagship store and enhancing the shopping experience for customers in Beverly Hills.
