Stone Island has unveiled its newly relocated Parisian flagship store at 233 Rue St. Honoré. Situated within a classic Haussmann-style building in Paris’ 1st arrondissement, the new boutique is designed to embody the brand’s values of innovation and community engagement. The store covers over 200 square meters and is spread across two floors, highlighting the brand’s full range including the Stone Island Ghost, Marina, and Stellina capsule collections.
The location’s interior design, a collaboration with architectural firm OMA/AMO, features a skylight that bathes the space in natural light and a black metal frame façade that offers a clear view from the outside. Another key design elements introduced by OMA/AMO is the dark, textured cork walls which undergo a unique treatment process involving burning, sandblasting, and coating to enhance sound and humidity absorption. A striking stainless steel and glass staircase leads to the first floor, where a perforated stainless steel wall integrates mini digital screens that connect the two levels.
The store also showcases ongoing collaborations with various creatives. This includes sustainable light fixtures by Tim Hooijmans of De Studio, crafted from recyclable aluminum billets that are energy-efficient and long-lasting. At the entrance, visitors encounter a minimalist display table by Johan Viladrich and an innovative large-scale speaker by Mo Yasin, part of the Stone Island Sound project, which pays homage to Paris’s diverse musical heritage.
Further enhancing the customer experience, a glass vitrine designed by Phil Procter displays key pieces from the Stone Island Archive, emphasizing the brand’s pioneering work in fabric and treatment research. A relaxation area features a custom-designed daybed by Markus Toll.
The upstairs space is marked by a distinctive pill-shaped red niche and a ceiling lighting system by Davide Groppi, seamlessly integrated into the metal ceiling, providing a modern touch to the architectural design. The space is further complemented by an iconic aluminum trunk designed by Elvis Wesley, highlighting Stone Island’s innovative approach to retail space.
