Designer to Unveil Debut at Upcoming Milan Fashion Week
Blumarine has welcomed Walter Chiapponi as its new creative director, with the fashion community anticipating his first collection to be showcased during Milan Fashion Week in February.
Following his role at Tod’s, Chiapponi carries a reputable track record into his new position at Blumarine. “Walter Chiapponi’s talent and style will infuse Blumarine with fresh energy while respecting its rich heritage,” remarked Marco Marchi, CEO of Eccellenze Italiane, the brand’s holding company.
Chiapponi steps into a role formerly held by Nicola Brognano, who has moved on after a four-year chapter of reinventing the brand. Brognano brought a youthful vibrancy to Blumarine that captured the attention of a new generation.

At Tod’s, he was acclaimed for his chic, effortless collections that highlighted the brand’s iconic styles and Italian artisanal heritage.
Marchi’s leadership of the EIH Eccellenze Italiane group has seen Blumarine engage in innovative collaborations and expand its market presence. Chiapponi’s arrival is seen as a strategic step in reinforcing Blumarine’s vision and influence in the global fashion arena.
