THE THEME
Charaf Tajer first entered the womenswear market in 2020 with a small capsule and since then built out this key category into a fully fledged women’s like that takes from its menswear counterpart’s aprés-sport-meets-Mediterranean aesthetic. After showing on the men’s calendar, this was his first time showing on the women’s schedule to present his vision for both men and women on a runway. Having taken inspirations from several of his travels over the years, this season Nigeria would be the source that give Tajer his ideas, most notably through the series of colors that shift in the Saharan region of Africa.
THE BUZZWORDS

Look # 50
The sunset gradient color effect looked especially impressive on this look (complementing the colors of the set) with its three flouncy hem layers and lightweight chiffon fabric.

THE QUOTE
Look #11
It is Nigeria’s vitality, movements set forward by the youth, and a key cultural history that stimulates a push towards an abundant future. We hope to highlight an admiration and reflection of our own desire for this revolutionary growth brightening and expanding, globally.
THE WRAP UP
This was a terrific collection that showcased Tajer’s range across both men’s and womenswear while keeping his signature point of view. The tennis-inspired touches were still all over this show, but with the addition of Motorsport motifs and a slicker, more sexier vibe. You can tell Tajer has an abundance of cultural references at his disposal thanks to his numerous travels but the essence of his French-Mediterranean background remains at the heart of Casablanca.
