The Eclectic and Epic Event Heralded the Launch of the Highly Anticipated Collaboration
Jean Paul Gaultier and Shayne Oliver Group came together to celebrate the impending launch of their collaborative collection with a party in New York City on Monday, May 6th. The event was produced in collaboration with SSENSE, one of the retailers where the highly anticipated collaboration is set to launch.
Friends and special guests of Jean Paul Gaultier, Shayne Oliver Group, and SSENSE were on hand to toast the collection launch, with notable attendees including A$AP Ferg, Michèle Lamy, Simone Rocha, Eartheater, Clermont Twins, Queen Latifah, Rich the Kid, Teezo Touchdown, Rachel Sennott, Jazzelle Zanaughtti, Rowan Blanchard, Richie Shazam, Ella Emhoff, Lourdes Leon, Willy Chavarria, Sophia Lamar, and more. Guests were also treated to a special performance by JT and DJ sets from Elvin Tavarez, Danny Castañeda, Telfar Clemens, Dangerous Rose, and LSDXOXO.
The collaborative capsule will encompass approximately 50 ready-to-wear pieces that draw on various elements of the Gaultier archives, from its iconic use of denim to reimaginings of a vintage sportswear line that could have been. The collection launches May 9th on JPG’s eshop as well as at a range of select retailers, including SSENSE.
