Eraldo Poletto Returns as CEO of Furla Amidst Restructuring Efforts
Furla has announced the return of Eraldo Poletto as its new CEO following the recent shareholders’ meeting on August 26. Poletto, who previously led Furla from 2010 to 2016, re-joins the Italian brand after his tenure at Santoni. He succeeds Giorgio Presca, who recently departed the company.
The company highlighted Poletto’s extensive experience and strong familiarity with Furla’s market, having held leadership roles at Stuart Weitzman, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Diesel of OTB. According to Gaetano Terrin, chairman of Furla’s board of directors, Poletto is expected to “successfully lead the company on its path of consolidation and growth” with ambitious goals aligned with Furla’s rich heritage.
This leadership transition comes at a critical time for Furla as it navigates debt restructuring following years of financial challenges. As of 2022, Furla reported revenues of €186 million but faced losses of €27 million and owed €154 million to bank creditors. The company is currently seeking €25 million in financing to support its operations and drive future growth.
