Gemma Hart Joins PVH As Chief Communications Officer

Gemma Hart Steps In As Chief Communications Officer, Succeeding Amber Mccann

Gemma Hart has been appointed chief communications officer at PVH Corp., effective February 9.

Hart replaces Amber McCann, who is departing the parent company of Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein after nearly three years to pursue other opportunities.

In her new position, Hart will be responsible for overseeing both internal and external communications. She will serve as a member of PVH’s executive leadership team and will report directly to the company’s chief executive officer, Stefan Larsson.

“Gemma is a strategic leader with a proven ability to connect communications directly to business priorities,” Larsson said in a statement. “Her global perspective and depth of experience will be key in further shaping and scaling our company’s communications strategy, and I look forward to partnering with her as we continue our journey to build Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger into the most desirable lifestyle brands in the world.”

Hart has more than twenty years of experience in communications. Most recently, she was senior vice president and head of corporate affairs for Danone North America. Prior to her time at Danone, she spent thirteen years at communications consultancy Brunswick Group.

“Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger are brands that I have long admired, and as two of the most iconic brands in the industry, there is extraordinary opportunity ahead,” Hart said. “I am excited to join PVH at such a transformative time and begin working with the team to help drive PVH’s growth ambitions through meaningful, impactful communications.”

Stefan Larsson has been leading a restructuring of PVH Corp. under the PVH+ plan, which centers on innovative marketing campaigns, signature products, and an increased focus on digital operations.

“I want to thank Amber for her many contributions during her time at PVH,” Larsson added. “Through her leadership, we put important building blocks in place, establishing a strong communications foundation to support our PVH+ Plan. I wish Amber all the best in her future endeavors.”
