Cantino will work alongside Alfonso Dolce, who remains chairman and CEO, in a structure designed to support the brand’s continued expansion beyond fashion into a broader lifestyle offering. The appointment reflects Dolce & Gabbana’s ongoing evolution of its business model, as it scales operations across categories including beauty, hospitality, and home.

“I am pleased to have Stefano Cantino by my side in this new phase of growth and development of Dolce & Gabbana,” said Alfonso Dolce.

Cantino brings more than two decades of experience across the luxury sector. Most recently, he served as chief executive officer at Gucci, a role he exited in September last year. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of communications at Louis Vuitton, where his responsibilities extended beyond brand messaging to include retail and client experience touchpoints.

Earlier in his career, Cantino spent more than 20 years at Prada, holding a range of roles across business development, merchandising, marketing, and operations, gaining experience that spanned both commercial strategy and industrial processes.

“It is an honor for me to join Dolce & Gabbana, a brand that represents Italian excellence around the world in such an extraordinary way,” Cantino said.

His appointment comes at a moment of transition for the privately held company. It follows the recent restructuring of its governance, including the step back of cofounder Stefano Gabbana from several corporate roles at the start of 2026, while maintaining his creative involvement within the brand.

The addition of Cantino is expected to strengthen Dolce & Gabbana’s executive leadership as it continues to scale internationally and diversify its business, reinforcing its positioning not only as a fashion house but as a global lifestyle brand.
