"Coco Beach" 2026 Ad Campaign

Review of Chanel “Coco Beach” 2026 Ad Campaign by Chanel Creative Director Matthieu Blazy with Creative Director Sheila Single and Photographer Julien Martinez Leclerc with models Anatol Modzelewski, Elodie Guipaud, Rebecca Leigh Longendyke, and Sun Mizrahi

Chanel’s Coco Beach 2026 campaign arrives with the quiet afterglow of the house’s recent Cruise presentation in Biarritz. Under Matthieu Blazy’s broader creative moment at the house, with creative direction by Sheila Single and photography by Julien Martinez Leclerc, the campaign treats the beach as a place of composition rather than escape. The result is cool, graphic, and deceptively still, a study in leisure seen through Chanel’s newly sharpened eye.

There is a painterly intelligence to the imagery. Anatol Modzelewski, Elodie Guipaud, Rebecca Leigh Longendyke, and Sun Mizrahi are placed against black sand, sea foam, and open negative space with a precision that gives the campaign its charge. The bodies feel arranged almost like objects in a modernist still life, while the house codes, striped knits, quilted bags, soft tailoring, swimwear, remain crisp without becoming stiff. It’s beach dressing with discipline, which feels very Chanel, especially now.

What makes the campaign effective is its restraint. It doesn’t chase sun-drenched ease in the expected way. It lets leisure become architectural, slightly surreal, and highly controlled. That control can create a little distance, though here the distance mostly works. The campaign asks the viewer to slow down and read the image as arrangement, proportion, and mood. For a house entering a new era, Coco Beach suggests that lightness can still carry structure, and that even relaxation, in Chanel’s hands, knows exactly where to place itself.
