A new retail concept at Shinsaibashi Parco extends the brand’s evolving approach to space, object, and environment

Ambush is continuing its expansion in Japan with the opening of Ambush Workshop Shinsaibashi, a new retail space at Shinsaibashi Parco in Osaka, set to open on April 24. The Tokyo-based label, founded by Yoon Ahn and Verbal, brings its multidisciplinary design approach to the Kansai region, further developing a retail concept that blurs the boundaries between product, installation, and environment.
Conceived as an extension of the brand’s ongoing Workshop series, the space moves away from traditional retail formats, positioning itself instead as an active and adaptable environment. Drawing on the visual codes of construction sites and industrial frameworks, the interior reflects a language that has become central to Ambush’s identity—one that emphasizes process, transformation, and experimentation.
Within this structured framework, the space introduces a contrasting material palette. Industrial rigidity is softened through the integration of timber elements and a muted khaki flooring, creating a tactile and grounded atmosphere. The balance between raw structure and warmth underscores the brand’s broader design ethos, where utility and refinement coexist.

The layout remains intentionally sparse, allowing for flexibility and continuous evolution. Rather than a fixed environment, the store is designed to shift over time, with objects, displays, and projected visuals altering the spatial experience. This approach aligns with Ambush’s origins in experimental jewelry, where form and context are in constant dialogue, and extends that philosophy into a fully immersive retail setting.

The opening also marks an opportunity for the brand to introduce exclusive product offerings. A curated selection of items available only at the Shinsaibashi location will accompany the launch, reinforcing the site-specific nature of the Workshop concept and its role as a platform for limited releases.
Located on the second floor of Shinsaibashi Parco, the new store strengthens Ambush’s presence in Japan while continuing to explore retail as a dynamic medium—one that evolves alongside the brand’s expanding universe across jewelry, fashion, and spatial design
