The Collaboration Focused Brand
Will Give its PFW Time Slot to Huelle and Provide Financial and Logistical Sponsorship
In a further twist on AZ Factory’s rotating guest-creative director approach, the collaboration-forward brand will give its Paris Fashion Week runway spot to designer Lutz Huelle, as well as providing financial and logistical sponsorship. This marks a significant step in the relationship between Huelle and AZ Factory, which began with Huelle’s guest designer role for AZ Factory’s spring 2023 collection. Subsequently, he was enlisted to design pre-collections for the brand.
Huelle’s previous collaboration with AZ Factory showcased a seamless blend of his Parisian flair with the offhand couture glamour reminiscent of AZ Factory’s late founder, Alber Elbaz. This fusion continued in his recent pre-fall 2024 collection.
AZ Factory, a venture jointly owned by Compagnie Financière Richemont and Elbaz, is recognized as a creative hub focusing on intelligent, solutions-oriented fashion. Their collaboration model has provided support to approximately ten emerging designers, including Thebe Magugu, Ester Manas, and Cyril Bourez, and more.
Huelle, along with his partner David Ballu, founded the Lutz brand in Paris in 2000, establishing it as a staple on the Paris fashion calendar. His extensive experience includes consulting for prestigious brands such as Max Mara, Brioni, and Delpozo. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, Huelle honed his skills at Maison Margiela before garnering accolades such as France’s prestigious ANDAM fashion awards in 2000 and 2002.
