The Best Women’s Fashion Ad Campaigns of the Spring 2024 Season

While the spring’s women’s campaigns still tended to follow the marketing season’s overarching trend of a relatively straightforward perspective that emphasized the presence of the clothing itself (which in turn tended to be characterized by looks to the archive, simple luxury, and wearable longevity), a subtle theme of artful femininity can be detected as well. Through indirect visual storytelling, many of this season’s campaigns celebrate fashion’s ability to communicate a contemporary woman as an enigmatic, independent, and artfully attuned presence.

The first Chloé campaign from new creative director Chemena Kamali balanced a return to boho-chic with a celebration of the airy femininity that characterized much of the work of the house’s founder Gaby Aghion, setting it all before the backdrop of Paris. Jacquemus also drew on the iconic presence of Paris, but took us down to street level, drawing on Imaan Hammam’s statuesque beauty to bring the artistic inspiration of its “Les Sculptures” collection to life.

Set in a richly appointed chateau with complex group compositions, Dior’s campaign exuded the stately drama of a Jane Austen novel. Miu Miu, meanwhile, stripped away all exterior setting, putting the emphasis entirely on its complex young heroines and their layered looks.
