The House Shared It Will Hold An Off-Calendar Show In London On March 11, Its First After A Digital-Only Hiatus
Burberry has announced its long-awaited return to in-person fashion shows. The house will stage a live runway show in London on March 11. The show marks the first physical, in-person event Burberry has held since the beginning of the pandemic, during which it opted for digital events and presentations.
The brand has yet to share further details on the show, including the specific location and whether it will feature both women’s and men’s collections.
Previously, Burberry had been considered the most important show on the London Fashion Week schedule for over a decade. The upcoming week officially kicks off on Friday, February 18 and runs through Tuesday, February 22.
Burberry’s announcement comes soon after another high-profile British fashion house, Alexander McQueen, also announced it will show off-calendar with a show in New York on March 15. Burberry’s show on the 11th falls three days after Paris Fashion Week, the final fashion week on the official calendar, concludes.
