The house’s new Ánima Village location brings together fashion, watches, and fine jewelry in a space featuring Mexican craftsmanship and a Pacific Ocean-facing terrace
Chanel has opened a new boutique at Ánima Village in Los Cabos, Mexico, expanding its retail presence with a destination that brings together fashion, watches, and fine jewelry. Located in Cabo del Sol, between the desert landscape and the Pacific Ocean, the boutique spans 170 square meters of interior space and includes an additional 200-square-meter terrace. The opening introduces a retail environment that combines the house’s established design codes with local craftsmanship and the distinctive natural surroundings of the Baja California peninsula.

Conceived as an open, single-salon space, the boutique emphasizes materiality and architectural simplicity. Travertine marble features throughout the interiors, while Mexican artisans were responsible for the finishes on the walls, floors, and ceilings, establishing a connection between the space and its regional setting. Tweed-upholstered seating introduces a familiar Chanel signature, complemented by textured rugs in the fitting rooms and footwear area. The combination of natural stone, handcrafted surfaces, and soft furnishings creates a contemporary interpretation of the house’s visual identity.
The boutique’s layout encourages visitors to move between its various collections, with handbags displayed along one side of the space and costume jewelry positioned opposite. Leather goods, additional handbags, ready-to-wear, and shoes occupy the central area, creating a fluid presentation of the house’s fashion offering. A dedicated eyewear display near the entrance showcases a selection of Chanel sunglasses, while seasonal accessories and footwear are integrated throughout the salon.
The fashion selection includes pieces from Chanel’s Fall 2026 collection by artistic director Matthieu Blazy. Exploring the relationship between natural and artificial elements, the collection draws inspiration from organic forms and colors, incorporating iridescent tones reminiscent of Impressionist painting. The classic Chanel suit serves as a central point of exploration, reinterpreted through materials ranging from ribbed knits to intricately woven tweeds. The collection’s emphasis on texture and material experimentation finds a complementary setting in the boutique’s handcrafted interiors.

A dedicated Watches & Fine Jewelry salon, located to the right of the entrance, presents some of Chanel’s most recognizable creations. The fine jewelry selection includes the COCO CRUSH, N°5, and CAMÉLIA collections, while the watchmaking offering features the J12 and PREMIÈRE lines. The space provides a distinct environment for exploring the house’s approach to jewelry and watchmaking, emphasizing the relationship between technical expertise, craftsmanship, and Chanel’s established design language.
Extending beyond the interior, the boutique opens onto a spacious terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Organized around a central bar, the outdoor area provides an additional setting for visitors, connecting the retail experience with the surrounding coastal landscape. Its direct access from the boutique establishes a natural transition between the interior’s carefully considered materials and the open-air environment of Los Cabos.
The opening reflects Chanel’s approach to developing retail destinations that respond to their individual locations while maintaining a consistent architectural and creative identity. At Ánima Village, the house brings its fashion, jewelry, and watchmaking collections together within a setting informed by Mexican craftsmanship and the region’s natural beauty. The result is a boutique that extends the Chanel experience beyond its collections, incorporating architecture, hospitality, and a sense of place into the presentation of the house’s contemporary vision.
The Chanel Los Cabos boutique is located at Ánima Village, Cabo del Sol, Carretera Transpeninsular KM 10.3, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
