American luxury jewelry brand David Yurman has signed a long-term lease for 685 Fifth Avenue, taking over Coach’s current space and securing one of New York’s most coveted retail addresses as it expands its presence in the luxury market
Expected to open in early 2029, the 22,000+ square-foot location will become David Yurman’s largest flagship to date. Coach previously signed a 10-year lease for the property at approximately $4,000 per square foot, highlighting the extraordinary value attached to prime Fifth Avenue real estate. By taking over the space, David Yurman is making one of its most significant retail commitments to date, a move that points to continued confidence in both the brand and the enduring appeal of flagship shopping destinations.

Coach, meanwhile, will relocate two blocks south to 645 Fifth Avenue, where it plans to reopen its flagship Coach House. While financial terms surrounding the agreement have not been disclosed, the move appears to create opportunities for both brands as they refine their respective footprints along one of luxury retail’s most important corridors.
David Yurman’s future home places the brand within walking distance of key competitors including Tiffany & Co. and Harry Winston, strengthening its presence among the concentration of jewelry houses that define Fifth Avenue. For a company founded in New York, the address reinforces both its heritage and its ambitions as it competes for greater visibility in the global luxury market.
The deal also highlights the continued importance of flagship stores in an era increasingly dominated by digital commerce. As luxury brands seek destinations that can deliver both prestige and immersive experiences, Fifth Avenue remains one of the industry’s most powerful stages–one that David Yurman is clearly betting on for its next chapter.
