Review of Dior Men’s Spring 2025 Ad Campaign by Creative Directors Ronnie Cooke Newhouse & Karl Bolander and Photographer Pieter Hugo with models Dugyeong Kim, Louis Mercurol, LV Yifan, Malick Bodian, Oskar Geipel
Dior‘s Spring 2025 men’s campaign has us purring: a fun and feline tribute to the power of play in art. The campaign features creative direction from Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Karl Bolander and photography by Pieter Hugo.
For the collection and its runway show, creative director Kim Jones teamed with ceramicist Hylton Nel, transforming his playful cat pieces into design motifs and monumental sculptures that brought colorful personality to the runway. The campaign extends this creative partnership, conjuring a world of large tropical plants and dreamy pastels inhabited by Dior gentlemen and eccentrically cute ceramic cats.
Artistic collaboration and homage has been at the heart of Kim Jones’ vision for Dior, an approach that always brings a creative spark to his campaigns as well. While sticking close to the brand’s typical visual formula, this latest campaign is another strong synthesis of heritage-influenced craft and playful creativity.
