FARM Rio Expands to Brooklyn with New Store Opening

FARM Rio, the beloved Brazilian fashion brand, has announced the opening of its first Brooklyn location. Following its Soho debut five years ago and the recent launch of its Melrose store in Los Angeles, the 1,083-square-foot space marks the brand’s next chapter in New York. Showcasing 150 styles from its Fall/Winter 2024 collection, the Brooklyn store offers apparel including knitwear, puffers, and fleece coats, as well as limited-edition items featuring exclusive “Brooklyn High on Nature” prints.

Led by Brazilian architect Renata Gaia, the store design embodies the brand’s nature-inspired ethos, blending rich textures, earthy tones, and handcrafted elements. Central to the space are custom-made ceramic columns by Indigenous artist Kássia Borges, whose work reflects themes of femininity, resistance, and healing. “Cherishing Borges’ work is an honor,” the brand noted, celebrating her role in reshaping contemporary art through Indigenous narratives.

The store will also feature a 3D foliage installation by multi-artist Gringo Cardia in early 2025, continuing the brand’s tradition of creating immersive experiences. Through collaborations with artists like Cecilia Abeid and Dominique Jardy, FARM Rio’s Brooklyn location showcases Brazilian art and culture while reinforcing the brand’s commitment to sustainability. FARM Rio recently hit a milestone of 1.5 million trees donated to Brazilian biomes, highlighting its “High on Nature” theme.

FARM Rio will continue its U.S. expansion with a new store in Washington, D.C., in November, followed by an Upper East Side location in February 2025. Visit the new Brooklyn store at 65 N 6th St or online at farmrio.com for more details.
