Fendi Reshuffles Leadership As Americas Chief Gets Promoted

Fendi Promotes Joanna Dubin to Worldwide Managing Director of Retail and Wholesale

Luxury fashion brand Fendi has announced the promotion of Joanna Dubin to the role of worldwide managing director of retail and wholesale, effective September 2. Dubin, who currently serves as president of Fendi Americas, will be relocated to Fendi’s Roman headquarters and will report to the brand’s recently appointed chief executive officer, Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou.

In her new role, Dubin succeeds Giuseppe Oliveri, who is leaving the brand to explore opportunities outside of parent company LVMH Group. A luxury industry veteran, Dubin joined Fendi in January 2019 after working at Louis Vuitton Americas as senior vice president of merchandising.

Before her time at Louis Vuitton, Dubin held positions at Gilt Groupe Japan, Coach, Ralph Lauren, and Bergdorf Goodman. Valentina Lucaj will be replacing Dubin as Fendi Americas president, starting September 16. Lucaj, who also comes from Louis Vuitton with experience as vice president of merchandising, will be based in New York and will report to Dubin.

These leadership changes follow Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou’s appointment as CEO of Fendi earlier this year. Angeloglou, who took on the role on June 1, also serves as CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group, of which Fendi is a member.
