The Designer Will Leave Milan for New York for the October 17 Show at his New Madison Avenue Building
Giorgio Armani announced on Tuesday that his Spring 2025 runway show will be held in New York, diverging from its traditional Milan debut.
The event is set for October 17, aligning with the grand opening of Armani’s newly redesigned building on Madison Avenue. This revamped structure will feature residential units, an Armani/Ristorante, and new boutiques for Giorgio Armani and Armani/Casa.
This change means the Armani show will not be part of Milan Fashion Week, which runs from September 17 to 23, nor will it coincide with New York Fashion Week, scheduled for September 6 to 11. However, the designer’s Fall 2025 collection will return to Milan in February, maintaining its usual schedule.
“Pragmatic and conscientious, the designer has decided to concentrate celebration of this important new opening and his return, after 11 years, to New York into a single event,” stated the Armani company.
Following the fashion show, a party is expected to take place, attracting many of the designer’s longtime friends and associates.
This project underscores Armani’s strong connection to New York and marks his return to the city, where he last held a One Night Only event in 2013. Armani described the Madison Avenue complex opening as “an important personal milestone because it crystallizes my vision of style in the city that was perhaps the first to truly embrace it.”
